After getting a reminder to schedule the follow-up, I booked an appointment for today, the 14th. I walked 25 minutes from home and arrived early, resulting in a 30-minute wait. Upon seeing the nurse, she reviewed my records, asked health-related questions, and then unexpectedly stated she couldn't administer the shot until May. I explained that the previous nurse had specifically advised me to come in January, which was clearly documented in my notes. I was extremely frustrated having wasted an entire morning for this appointment. This marks the third unsuccessful encounter at this medical practice, and since I'm not a frequent patient, perhaps I should start visiting more often so they become familiar with me. For now, I'll wait and see what transpires in May, uncertain whether I'll proceed with the second vaccination.

(UPDATED December 2023) The current appointment booking process now requires an online form submission. Frustratingly, this crucial link is not prominently displayed on the website where it should be. Even more concerning is the sluggish communication response. Previously, a general practitioner would contact you promptly on the same day to address your medical concerns. That personal touch has disappeared. Securing an appointment has become increasingly challenging. I understand they're overwhelmed, but the healthcare system desperately needs more general practitioners, and so do the patients.
