Prescription cancelled without any explanation given

How can a healthcare provider cancel a repeat prescription without any explanation or notification? I had to contact the hospital's specialist unit to arrange for my medication to be sent, and I'm grateful that the hospital resolved this within an hour. It's concerning that the surgery would take such action without communication, potentially putting patients at risk. The reception staff indicated the prescription had been cancelled by the doctor with no reason provided. I'm thankful for the support received from the pharmacy in resolving this matter.

Reception kept losing messages and sending wrong sample tubes

A clinician initially indicated my daughter did not have the infection I was concerned about but offered to arrange a urine test, which subsequently returned a positive result. This led to a referral to specialist paediatric services. I found it necessary to follow up on this referral multiple times as the initial sample was lost and an urgent message was not retained by reception staff. The reception team provided incorrect sample collection tubes on several occasions despite my clear explanation of what was needed. The wait for the specialist appointment extended to seven months, and upon arrival at the hospital, it became apparent the referral had been directed to an inappropriate department, resulting in another extended waiting period. The overall experience fell short of expectations, particularly given that this involved care for a young child.

I had a very negative experience with this practice. The reception staff member was unhelpful and dismissive whenever I called with queries about my treatment. Rather than providing straightforward answers to my questions, I felt I was being judged and lectured instead. The overall standard of care fell well short of what I would expect. I would not recommend this practice to others.

Friendly staff who actually listen to concerns

I relocated to a different area and was previously registered with a practice in another town, though I didn't require their services. Since moving to my current location, I have attended two in-person appointments and found both the reception staff and clinical team to be welcoming and easy to communicate with. They have taken time to look into my concerns and worked towards addressing them effectively. I would be happy to recommend this practice.
