Scheduling an appointment here is impossible. Nightmare gp practice with zero patient care

I've encountered the most terrible GP practice imaginable. Following a life-threatening surgical procedure, I've been attempting to secure an appointment for a week with zero success. I've submitted two online requests, and not a single response has arrived. When you call at 8:29, they claim to be closed. At 08:30, they abruptly hang up, declaring themselves fully booked. This morning, I was 18th in the queue when I called. After an excruciating 57-minute wait, I finally connected, only to be told appointments are unavailable, with no opportunity to speak with anyone. I've now been on hold for 1 hour and 10 minutes, listening to repetitive music. Every three minutes, they prompt me about the call's purpose. Selecting appointments repeatedly confirms they're fully booked. It's physically impossible to schedule anything. As a new patient who registered just last week, I haven't even managed to communicate with anyone. If this situation doesn't resolve immediately, I'm coming in person, and they had better assist me. Otherwise, I'll escalate my complaint extensively, especially considering my recent surgery and their complete lack of compassion. From reading other reviews, this appears to be their standard practice. Absolutely disgraceful and completely unacceptable.

Horrible medical care with unprofessional and abusive staff

The medical practice was a complete disaster, particularly due to the unprofessional staff, especially the receptionist with the nose piercing. After repeatedly experiencing disconnected calls and endless phone waiting times, I decided to visit in person. The receptionist attempted to play doctor, diagnosing my condition and refusing to schedule a GP consultation. When I questioned her inappropriate approach and lack of assistance, she erupted into a loud, aggressive verbal assault right in front of my young child. My child was deeply traumatized by her hostile behavior. Despite my child's visible distress, the receptionist continued her offensive and abusive conduct. Complaining about this surgery is futile, as they either ignore communication or take no corrective action. I strongly advise steering clear of this practice and particularly this receptionist. They operate with complete impunity and zero accountability. The entire experience was profoundly distressing.

The service at Wye Valley is absolutely terrible. I cannot stress enough how much I advise against choosing this medical practice. Their phone system is a nightmare - you'll be left waiting endlessly for an hour, and even when you finally get through, they abruptly disconnect the call. Absolutely dreadful medical facility, attempted to secure an urgent consultation right as their office opened, but was immediately met with constantly engaged phone lines. Spent approximately sixty minutes repeatedly dialing without success. When finally connected, I was placed on hold for an extended period before being disconnected before speaking with anyone. Subsequent attempts yielded identical frustrating results, with an automated system ultimately informing me they were completely fully booked. Completely exasperated, I experienced another medical emergency with identical outcome. I AM DEFINITIVELY CHANGING HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS, THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS UNACCEPTABLE, I CANNOT COMPREHEND HOW THIS ESTABLISHMENT CONTINUES TO OPERATE

Frustrating healthcare with rare glimpse of hope

Absolutely zero stars deserved! The medical care itself is excellent, but the process of securing an appointment is a complete nightmare. When I called at 8:30 AM, I was stuck in a queue for 51 minutes and ended up 18th in line, only to be told no appointments were available. Attempting to book online is equally frustrating since slots are only accessible two weeks in advance. It's utterly ridiculous trying to get an emergency appointment - I tried calling, emailing, and even showing up in person, but nothing worked. The barriers to seeing a doctor are absurdly difficult to navigate.

Terrible service that leaves patients without medication

I submitted my repeat prescription request over a month ago, and they still haven't processed it. I've been without medication for the past two weeks. I've attempted to call them numerous times, but never successfully connected. When you finally reach the front of the queue, you're mysteriously redirected back to the initial menu after just 5 minutes. This has occurred repeatedly. Like other patients, I've experienced being on hold for an hour, only to witness them picking up and immediately hanging up the phone. Previously, they've even claimed they couldn't hear me. Once it hits 1pm, they're on lunch break and you lose your place in line, and by 3pm they refuse to handle repeat prescription requests altogether. It seems they're deliberately avoiding answering calls - why else would you remain first in the queue only to be hung up on after waiting another 30 minutes? I'm leaving this medical practice as soon as possible. They absolutely need to be investigated - this level of service is completely unacceptable and a waste of patients' time and resources.

He's an incredibly compassionate physician who provided me with genuine comfort and made me feel completely relaxed throughout our entire consultation. I never felt hurried or pressured. Terrible medical practice with heartless receptionists

Steer clear at all costs. This is arguably the most terrible general practitioner clinic you'll ever encounter. Expect a minimum of 60 minutes just to reach their reception staff, who demonstrate zero empathy whatsoever. I've been forced to physically enter the practice, only to find the receptionists clustered together in idle conversation, which clearly explains the excessive phone wait times. They frequently employ tactics like feigning inability to hear patients and abruptly disconnecting calls. With no practice manager currently overseeing operations, these receptionists operate without any professional accountability. Their rudeness is absolutely appalling. One can only assume they're so dysfunctional that they cannot retain management staff! We've reached our breaking point and are definitively switching medical practices - High Wycombe offers numerous alternative options. My sincere hope is that these receptionists face professional consequences and this entire practice ultimately shuts down!

Terrible experience... I rang early at 8:30am and was initially optimistic about being third in line, but it still took an exhausting 28 minutes to connect. When I finally reached a receptionist to schedule an appointment, they claimed they couldn't hear me and abruptly ended the call. Undeterred, I tried again, only to find myself 19th in the queue. After waiting an entire hour, I was greeted with a message stating all appointments were booked for the day. This is the service we receive despite paying National Insurance? Absolutely ridiculous.
