Waited two weeks for travel vaccine info

I reached out to the medical practice through their Anima online platform, which seems to be their recommended communication channel. My goal was to determine vaccination requirements for myself and my family prior to international travel. I carefully completed the initial set of questions and submitted my inquiry. A quick acknowledgement arrived, followed by a secondary questionnaire that largely duplicated the information I had already shared. I promptly filled out this redundant form, yet it still took five additional days before someone contacted me to schedule a telephone consultation - which would be another eight days in the future. While I understand the NHS is under significant strain, waiting two weeks just to get clarity on essential travel vaccinations strikes me as completely unacceptable. The entire experience has been thoroughly frustrating.

Friendly staff, but Anima system is awful

The medical staff at this practice are exceptionally welcoming and supportive. Every interaction, whether in-person or via telephone, has consistently been positive. I consider this to be the most outstanding GP practice I've encountered. Unfortunately, their transition from Doctrin to Anima for online services has been problematic. The new platform is incredibly frustrating, with extremely restrictive request categories that lack an "other" option. Additionally, the character limits are so narrow that adequately describing your medical concern becomes nearly impossible. Fortunately, phone communication remains an excellent alternative, with staff members responding promptly and maintaining their trademark friendliness and helpfulness - which ultimately preserves my overall high opinion of the practice. (That said, it's disappointing that online communication remains limited to business hours, a constraint that also existed with the previous system. It seems unnecessary to prevent patients from submitting messages outside of standard working times.)

Frustrating phone booking on a saturday

I attempted to contact the surgical clinic to schedule an appointment as recommended by my physician. Despite calling on a Saturday with time still remaining before their closing hour, I was informed that the practice was shut. During subsequent weekday attempts, I was advised they were exclusively handling urgent medical situations. I'm unable to successfully book an appointment and will now need to allocate time to physically visit their reception desk to make the booking.

Quick help for my arthritis concern

I initiated contact at 8:30 am seeking a telephone consultation about my Arthritis. Lee, the Osteoarthritis specialist, called me back at 9:15 and provided the guidance I was looking for. He subsequently referred me to Dr Withers, who helped me schedule X-rays at the walk-in centre, which I immediately followed through on. The X-ray results were returned to me early in the afternoon. By 2 pm, both Lee and Dr Withers had reached out to discuss a comprehensive treatment plan. I want to extend my sincere appreciation to everyone involved in my care, including the helpful receptionists who assisted me throughout the process. The service was exceptional and I would wholeheartedly recommend this practice to others.
