Patient feedback reveals significant concerns around appointment availability and booking experience. Multiple patients reported persistent difficulty securing appointments, particularly for urgent or same-day care, with reception staff frequently citing no availability despite repeated attempts to book. This access challenge has prompted some long-standing patients to consider switching providers. Communication during the booking process was frequently described as dismissive and unhelpful, with limited flexibility offered to patients with time-sensitive medical needs.
Reception experience and staff courtesy present a mixed picture. While several patients praised individual reception staff members for their supportive and helpful demeanor, others reported discourteous behaviour, poor responsiveness to phone calls, and a lack of respect during interactions. Some patients felt their concerns were not heard or properly addressed. Additionally, concerns were raised about clinical responsiveness, including instances where patients felt their medical issues were dismissed, where treatment recommendations differed unexpectedly between practitioners, and where remote consultations were offered when in-person examination was requested.
Positive feedback highlighted compassionate care from certain practitioners, professional medical skills, clean facilities, and supportive communication from specific team members. Some patients reported feeling reassured and confident in the service following positive interactions. However, these positive experiences were outweighed by the volume of feedback regarding access barriers, communication challenges, and concerns about consistency in care delivery across the practice.

Mrs. Malik's Gentle Touch During My Blood Test
My visit to Zain Medical Practice was truly remarkable! The care I received was exceptional from start to finish. The healthcare assistant, Mrs. Malik, who performed my blood draw, was wonderfully compassionate and considerate, ensuring the entire experience was as stress-free as possible. Despite my initial nervousness about the procedure, her professional demeanor and soothing approach made the process almost imperceptible. Furthermore, Mrs. Safeera at the reception was incredibly courteous and supportive. She addressed my concerns with remarkable efficiency, providing clear and thorough responses to all my questions. I am genuinely grateful for the outstanding level of service provided by the entire team!

Painless morning blood draw with Dr. Shizad
Dr. B. Shizad expertly handled my blood draw with incredible skill and gentleness. His serene and competent demeanor helped me feel completely relaxed, and the entire process was virtually imperceptible. I've never experienced such a comfortable medical test before. My sincere appreciation goes to Dr. Shizad!!

Receptionist's Bad Attitude Ruined My Day
The front desk staff member handling incoming calls displays an incredibly unhelpful demeanor, coming across as extremely discourteous and maintaining a consistently negative attitude throughout interactions.

Friendly doctor made me feel at ease
I recently had a consultation with Dr Shezad, and I was thoroughly impressed by his compassionate approach to my medical concern. He dedicated ample time to listening and addressing my issues, making me feel completely at ease throughout the appointment. The entire experience was exceptional from start to finish. The medical facility was impeccably maintained, meeting the highest standards of cleanliness one would expect from a professional healthcare setting. The entire team, particularly the reception staff, went above and beyond to assist me and answer all my questions. I can confidently and wholeheartedly recommend this medical practice to anyone residing in the HA8 vicinity.

Rude Staff Made Me Regret Visiting
Terrible establishment with a completely self-serving attitude. The reception is abysmal, and the staff's communication is harsh and unprofessional. This practice appears to benefit no one except themselves, with zero consideration for customer experience.

Surgery Staff Turned Things Around
I've noticed a significant positive transformation in the surgical practice since the pandemic. In the past, I was quite disappointed with their service, but this year I'm genuinely impressed and want to acknowledge their improvements. The reception staff are incredibly welcoming and supportive, consistently working to secure appointments and ensuring I receive necessary follow-ups and tests, coordinated by Dr Shahzad and his team of residents. The locum doctors and other practitioners in the practice have notably enhanced their approach. I sincerely hope they maintain this standard, recognizing how important they are to our community.

Terrible care when I'm sick with my son
I would give zero stars if possible. The medical practice refused my request for an in-person consultation, offering only a phone call after persistent requests. I'm seriously unwell with my 4-year-old son, and the doctor's surgery merely suggested taking paracetamol and drinking lemon tea to combat my infection. It's clear I need antibiotics, as I've been extremely sick for a week with no improvement - suffering from a chest cough, sore throat, high fever, and completely lacking energy to perform daily activities. I'm astounded that the doctors have neglected their duty of care, denying me a face-to-face consultation and providing no meaningful help with my illness. Instead, the physician repeatedly emphasized that this was his practice and he would decide how to proceed. This wasn't a private appointment, so why did Dr. Shazad get to dictate the terms? I believed this was an NHS GP practice. This treatment is unacceptable, and patients should not be subjected to such disregard by healthcare professionals.

Unhelpful Camera Consultation at Zain Medical Centre
I can no longer recommend Zain Medical Centre. Although I rarely visit the GP, when I'm seriously ill, I expect at least a proper examination, not just a camera consultation like with Dr Shahzad. Recently, his consultations have been exclusively remote, but patients deserve in-person medical attention. During our challenging health situation, the doctor simply suggested paracetamol and calpol for me and my son. I'm seriously considering switching healthcare providers because I refuse to accept virtual consultations where my phone connection is unreliable. When I need medical help, I want to see my doctor face-to-face.

Friendly Staff Helped Me Feel at Ease
I recently signed up my newborn and myself to this medical practice. During my phone call, I interacted with Justyna, who was delightful and humorous, effectively calming my nerves. Later the same day, I visited to collect my registration form and was assisted by Sandra, who was equally wonderful and incredibly supportive. After reviewing some previous critical reviews mentioning discourteous behavior, I felt motivated to share that this has been the most positive healthcare practice experience I've encountered in a long time. My interaction has left me feeling completely assured that I've selected the ideal medical center for my 5-week-old and myself. My sincere appreciation goes out to these ladies, and I'm excited about developing more comfortable relationships during future visits :)

Suddenly Kicked Out of My GP Practice
I've been a patient with this practice since 2015, and when I attempted to schedule a doctor's appointment yesterday, they claimed I was no longer registered with them, stating my medical records had been transferred to another GP. Upon requesting more details, they responded that they were unaware of the specifics. How can they transfer my personal information without knowing the reason?! They advised me to contact the NHS for further clarification.

Disrespectful Staff Ignored My Medical Exemption
I felt utterly disrespected during my visit! Both the physician and a front desk staff member displayed extreme discourtesy. When I shared my medical exemption from mask-wearing, they treated me as though I was fabricating my situation. This behavior is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. After filing a complaint, I was shockingly dismissed from the medical practice. Their approach would never be applied to their own loved ones. The official government guidelines clearly state mask exemptions exist... yet they arbitrarily create and enforce their own rules. They demonstrated a total lack of empathy and basic human dignity. Their conduct suggests a narrow-minded approach where they seem to believe every medical concern revolves around COVID.

Dr Shezad's Clinic: Avoid Other Doctors
Here's the rewritten review: Yet again, Dr Shezad is absent, and predictably, the clinic is in complete disarray. I keep questioning why I even consider consulting any physician other than Dr Shezad. This time, I was assigned to Dr Kanan. She outright declined to prescribe the medication Dr Shezad would typically recommend. Despite dealing with the identical medical issue, Dr Shezad's standard treatment was dismissed, with this doctor seemingly intent on appearing more sophisticated. I'm starting to think I'd be better off enduring a 4-hour wait at the emergency department to obtain medication, rather than squandering my time with any doctor except Dr Shezad. If you're keen on avoiding unnecessary stress and maintaining your composure, I strongly advise seeing exclusively Dr Shezad.

Frustrating Test Results at Zain Medical Centre
Everything feels like an uphill battle at this clinic. Getting a single test result is a challenge. They refuse to email results, forcing patients to physically come and collect them. It's 2021, for goodness' sake! And when you arrive, they attempt to charge you for a simple printout. The service is absolutely appalling and makes you feel terrible. They only provide vague "all normal" phone updates while seemingly withholding your personal test results. It's perpetually a case of bureaucratic obstruction. Their phone response time is painfully slow, and when someone finally answers, they barely let you complete a sentence. Just because the service is free doesn't give them the right to treat patients disrespectfully. My previous GP in Central London was completely different - efficient and considerate. Does Zain Medical Centre genuinely believe it's acceptable to act as if they're doing patients a favor, simply because the clinic is located in a less affluent neighborhood?

Dismissive Doctor Missed My Serious Symptoms
I was redirected to this clinic by my general practitioner due to their high patient load. When discussing a persistent health issue, the doctor dismissed my concerns and made me feel like my problem wasn't significant. She became defensive when I honestly stated that previous treatments had been ineffective, even suggesting that my candor was inappropriate. Moreover, she incorrectly prescribed medication dosage and claimed I would receive an x-ray referral letter, which she deliberately did not send, seemingly out of personal frustration. I find her excuse of being "emotionally stressed" completely unacceptable. As a firefighter working demanding shifts for minimal compensation, I understand professional stress, but I never let it compromise my duty of care to those who depend on me.

No Appointments for My Sick Child
I would've rated them higher, but the current situation forces me to give a 1-star review! Their service is utterly inadequate, especially when it comes to scheduling an appointment for a child! I've been attempting to book an appointment since last week, consistently receiving apologies and no availability. This morning, I was advised to call at 3 PM for afternoon slots. When I rang at 2 PM, I was informed that all appointments were already booked! This is completely ridiculous. Typically, I try to be understanding, as Dr. Shahzad always recommends, but when my children require medical attention, being repeatedly told "sorry, no appointments" is unacceptable. The most frustrating moment was being told "there's an appointment for tomorrow, but you'll need to call tomorrow to book it!" When I asked if I could secure the slot today to prevent losing it, they offered me a Thursday afternoon appointment. It's Monday, and my child needs medical attention now, not potentially days later when she might recover independently! I'm so frustrated that I'm already exploring alternative medical practices. After being a loyal patient for years, it's time to say goodbye to Zain Medical! Perhaps they should focus on hiring more general practitioners instead of expanding their reception staff, whose only response seems to be "Sorry, we have no appointments"!

Rude Doctor Made Me Feel Unwelcome
There should be a zero rating for how these individuals handle patients. They selectively choose who they prefer, which is truly appalling. The arrogant doctor 'petal' can't even be bothered to communicate, let alone provide care. I felt completely unwelcome and was hastily dismissed. It's disheartening to witness such prejudice and unprofessional conduct from someone in a medical role. I definitely won't be returning to this practice!
