Appointment system makes it impossible to be seen

I have been a patient at this practice for 75 years since birth, but the standard of care has been declining, particularly since the pandemic. Obtaining an appointment has become increasingly difficult, as the system requires calling at 8am to secure one. Interestingly, I receive text messages offering vaccination appointments, which can be booked more easily than regular consultations. When appointments are eventually arranged, I often receive a telephone call from the clinician instead of an in-person visit, which raises concerns about how a proper assessment can be made without a face-to-face consultation. During a recent visit, I requested support with weight management and was simply directed towards external weight loss programmes. On another occasion, after waiting three weeks for an appointment, I raised a health concern and then asked a follow-up question. When the clinician was unable to answer, they stood up and showed me to the door, which left me feeling dismissed. I am uncertain whether I will continue attending this practice, as I believe significant changes are needed in how services are delivered.
