Appointment waits and unhelpful reception staff disappointing

This practice used to be excellent, but the standard of service has declined significantly. Appointment availability is now problematic, often requiring a month's wait unless you manage to reach a particular receptionist. I was recently advised to wait through an entire weekend for medication I require for a chronic condition, which felt unacceptable. The situation has become so poor that contacting 111 seems like a more viable option. There appears to be a lack of concern about patient needs, and I've noticed that prescription quantities are consistently lower than what I actually require. Most reception staff display an unhelpful attitude, though there is one exception who provides genuinely excellent service. When a family member was seriously unwell before passing away, we were initially told that home visits were not possible despite the location being very close by. After we eventually managed to bring them to the practice in person, the staff suddenly indicated that a home visit could have been arranged, contradicting what we had been told previously. This was deeply frustrating. I'm grateful for the one receptionist who demonstrated genuine helpfulness and commitment to assisting patients.
