Booking system left me on hold for hours unnecessarily

Getting an appointment at this practice proves to be unnecessarily complicated and deeply frustrating. I visited the practice in person during the holiday period to arrange a follow-up appointment and was instructed by reception staff to telephone the following day within a specific time slot to complete the booking. I adhered to these instructions precisely. The practice's website indicated it would be operating on that day, so I called as directed and found myself on hold for considerably longer than an hour, with repeated assurances that I was at the front of the queue. Despite this, my call went unanswered. After persisting for some time, I made another trip to the practice in person, only to discover it was actually closed, contradicting both the website information and the ongoing hold message on the telephone line. This consumed considerable time and frustration that could have been prevented through accurate information about opening hours and a more reliable telephone system. Being directed to visit in person, then instructed to call instead, then left waiting while the practice was genuinely closed represents a poor experience. Obtaining routine healthcare should not present such obstacles. The booking procedures and how the practice communicates with patients require urgent attention and improvement.
