Broken App, Rude and Lazy Staff. English

Making an appointment is a dreadful experience. The app rarely works properly. Phone waiting times are measured in hours. The IVR has FIVE prompts before you can even join the queue! I just spent 17 minutes as "Number One in the queue"! On the phone and in person the staff are rude and sluggish if they are there at all. I have had them answer a call with "Yeah?" or even just pick up the phone and say nothing at all. When you can eventually speak to someone or get the app to operate without error, the best you can hope for is a callback the following day to make an appointment. Speaking English is sometimes a problem - especially if you need to speak to the administration staff rather than reception. I was asked to come back on the day that the English-speaker was working in the office. The medical staff themselves seem competent although the bait-and-switch to see a nurse instead of a doctor is common. They stick to the 12 minutes, 1 problem rule religiously. I couldn't even add a cholesterol check to a blood test without making a separate appointment! Unfortunately "our" NHS won't let me use one of the better practices in the area. I end up paying a private GP.
