I used to proudly tell everyone about the exceptional service at Brooke surgery, but that's no longer the case. Attempting to contact them by phone is an exercise in frustration, and their online request system is only accessible at specific, unpredictable times, often not functioning even when claimed to be open. The inconsistent medical staff rotation means I never see the same doctor, and instead encounter junior personnel who seem inexperienced and come across as patronizing. A consultant referral I was promised in June didn't actually get processed until I followed up in September, and the clinician initially quoted a 19-week wait. Upon further investigation with the hospital, I discovered the actual wait is 40 weeks, with no clear explanation for the discrepancy or the initial 10-week delay in sending the referral. This means I'm left managing my health issues for nearly a year before potentially seeing a relevant specialist. I'm actively seeking to transfer to a different GP practice as soon as possible.
