Called but hung up, then turned away for being late

I'm very disappointed with how the surgery handled my appointment. There was confusion around a phone call—I answered but the line disconnected, and when I called back, I felt the staff weren't helpful. When booking, I had made it clear that the appointment time would be difficult for me, so the surgery was aware of this beforehand. Despite this, I managed to arrive only 15 minutes late, but I was turned away without being seen. The receptionist didn't attempt to check with the clinician to see if I could still be accommodated—it would have taken just a few minutes. Instead, I felt there was no real effort to assist me. The doctor I was scheduled to see also made no attempt to consider seeing me. This isn't my usual practice, and I have to say the communication here fell short of what I'd expect. The lack of effort from both reception and clinical staff to help patients is disappointing.
