Cancelled Ultrasound After 10-Minute Delay

The staff were hostile, dismissing me while I was simply waiting in line, telling me to move away so they could talk to the receptionist. My Ultra Sound appointment was abruptly cancelled because I arrived a few minutes late, despite waiting months for this crucial examination while struggling with breathing difficulties and acid reflux. I explained I'd traveled 20 miles, arranged expensive child care (after being told children weren't permitted), and was delayed by unexpected roadworks. The signage was unclear upon entering the building, and they never communicated that being even slightly late would result in appointment cancellation. Their response showed zero empathy, suggesting that if everyone behaved like me, it would cause significant delays. The interaction felt punitive and targeted. Clearly, they demonstrated no concern for patients' circumstances or the urgency of medical needs. The ultrasound technician could have easily accommodated my slight delay but chose instead to argue. Their behavior completely contradicts healthcare principles, seeming more interested in bureaucratic rigidity than patient care. I'm now at risk of requiring emergency treatment due to their unprofessional conduct. Their complete lack of compassion and unwillingness to consider individual situations is appalling. I've been left frustrated, stressed, and without the medical assessment I desperately needed, having wasted considerable time, energy, and resources.
