Despite the well-known difficulties confronting the NHS, and the typical frustrations we all encounter with endless hold music, I have consistently found Grove Surgery to be highly responsive, especially when caring for my children. The practice is remarkably understanding of the vocal sounds our autistic child produces, and they carefully schedule appointments to minimize his potential distress. The staff supporting him are incredibly adaptable in their communication, readily offering appealing stickers to help ease his transition into the clinic room. Whenever we've requested to consult a specific colleague or clinician, the surgery makes every effort to accommodate our needs. I've experienced numerous genuinely positive interactions with the reception team here (in the past, I was quick to criticize and view them as an impediment), but the current staff are exceptionally patient and attentive, ensuring we can access the appropriate support. They frequently go beyond standard expectations, such as offering face-to-face appointments when we've requested a telephone consultation.
