Recently, I've been struggling emotionally and find it challenging to seek support. During my Asthma clinic appointment with Cheryl, who was aware of my Depression, I unexpectedly broke down crying - something very unusual for me. Within just two hours, Dr. Burnley had arranged an urgent consultation and initiated mental health support. That same afternoon, a compassionate lady (whose name I can't recall) contacted me. The next day, I met with Natalie at my GP's office, who was incredibly understanding and provided valuable guidance, referring me to another mental health team. They've been calling me daily since then. My conversation with Meena and Dr. Mirchandani was particularly supportive - both were incredibly kind and easy to communicate with. Today, Mike from the mental health team even conducted a home visit, which was incredibly helpful. I can genuinely say, without exaggeration, that these professionals have essentially saved my life during this challenging week. I must also acknowledge the reception staff, who were wonderfully supportive, though I unfortunately didn't catch all their names. Hanna, who performed my blood tests this morning, was another example of genuine kindness. I realize I've been quite detailed, but sometimes it's important to share when you've experienced such extraordinary compassion and support from healthcare professionals.
