Compassionate care during a difficult goodbye

When my mother was transferred to Mansion house surgery by her palliative care home, she sadly passed away on a Saturday evening. I was able to contact our undertaker to collect her. The surgery called me on Monday morning to explain that the doctor who needed to complete the death certificate was unavailable that day. However, the doctor rang me the next day to discuss the cause of death and ask if I had any concerns. She then signed the certificate, and the surgery informed me that the paperwork had been sent to the registry office. A few days later, I received a condolence card from the surgery, which I found incredibly thoughtful, especially considering my mother had only been under their care for the last three months of her life. They helped make an incredibly difficult time a bit more bearable, and I cannot thank them enough for their compassion and support.
