Compassionate doctor struggling in overwhelming nhs system

I consulted dr Hart after an online consultation recommended by the surgery. A compassionate individual who seems misaligned with his current professional environment, being a GP in today's NHS is arguably the most challenging role in British society. The appointment evoked memories of my own exhausting years as an NHS GDP, where balancing administrative demands, clinical documentation, and patient care felt utterly insurmountable. I ultimately resigned after two decades. Medical professionals enter this field with genuine intentions of supporting patients' physical and psychological needs, investing years in rigorous training, believing themselves competent and prepared. However, upon qualification, they're abruptly thrust into a harsh reality. Immediately, they're constrained by relentless time pressures - a metaphorical stopwatch dictating every interaction. Just 10 minutes to comprehensively review patient history, listen attentively, conduct examinations, formulate diagnoses, implement treatments, document findings, and coordinate care - all while an oppressive timer counts down mercilessly. I apologize, dear colleague, and consciously attempted to minimize additional strain during our consultation. My gratitude extends to you for maintaining this essential service despite overwhelming challenges.
