Confusing check-in process left me waiting outside

I attended an urgent care centre after being directed there by NHS 111. Upon arrival, I found the situation confusing and poorly managed. There was no clear signage outside indicating that visitors needed to enter the building to have their temperature checked and register. Once inside, I completed these steps, but then experienced significant discomfort while waiting. The waiting area was at capacity, so I was directed to wait outside in cold weather and had to sit on the ground. I mentioned to staff that I had been advised to drink water regularly, and while they acknowledged this, no water was provided. When I asked again approximately thirty minutes later, I received the same response but still no water was given. The lack of organisation was evident as new arrivals continued to queue outside without any guidance about the check-in process. There appeared to be no system for managing the outdoor queue or determining when people should be called inside to take available seats. People who arrived after me were seated indoors while I remained outside in discomfort on the cold ground. After waiting over an hour, I requested water again with the same result. The centre seemed to lack basic procedures such as displaying information outside or systematically moving waiting patients inside as seats became available. When I was eventually asked to provide a sample before leaving the waiting area, my seat was given to someone else, forcing me back outside to wait further. The overall experience felt disorganised and lacking in basic care standards. The absence of clear communication, direction, or attention to fundamental needs during an extended wait was deeply frustrating. I felt the centre could have implemented simple improvements to function more effectively, and I have serious reservations about returning there in future.
