Dangerous delay leads to devastating health consequences

I've been a patient at this medical practice since 1963, but that ends today! My husband tried to schedule a doctor's appointment and was told he could only see a nurse in two weeks, even after explaining he felt unwell. When I called back emphasizing the urgency, the receptionist claimed Dr. Smith would contact him. She did call and casually dismissed his concerns, saying he could wait two weeks! Tragically, he suffered a stroke just two days later on April 1st. You might expect such negligence would prompt some reflection from the doctor, but no - eight weeks later, he experienced another mini stroke! The practice is clearly using Covid as an excuse to reduce their workload, but patients with high blood pressure absolutely require in-person consultations! These receptionists need to understand their job is to support patients, not act like overzealous border control agents at East Midlands Airport!
