Dangerous doctors delay critical medical treatment

I was previously a patient at this surgery, having attended the old Skegby location where all the current GPs once worked. Throughout 2020, I suffered from numerous debilitating symptoms including mouth ulcers, painful skin rashes, recurring infections, and extreme exhaustion. From April to October, I repeatedly sought medical attention, with my symptoms progressively worsening. The doctor consistently claimed uncertainty and performed no meaningful investigations. He merely prescribed steroid tablets for my mouth ulcers, which proved completely ineffective, yet he continued prescribing them and dismissing my concerns. During one appointment, he bizarrely suggested I "might have a deficiency" and should "eat more carrots" - without conducting any actual deficiency tests. After persistent advocacy, another doctor finally referred me to Kings Mill hospital for comprehensive blood work. Meanwhile, my condition deteriorated dramatically, culminating in hospitalization in December 2020. I was unable to walk, experiencing intense muscle spasms and severe dizziness from the slightest movement. The blood tests ultimately revealed severe, long-untreated anaemia - a condition this negligent practice had ignored for months. The hospital successfully treated me, but this entire ordeal could have been prevented had the initial doctor performed basic diagnostic tests. Additionally, years earlier at their previous location, another doctor misdiagnosed a persistent chest infection as asthma, advising me to simply use my inhaler more frequently. Another physician later confirmed the actual chest infection, explaining my prolonged coughing and unusual phlegm. Furthermore, my mother experienced similar dismissive treatment from the same doctor who overlooked my chest infection. Despite experiencing frequent, severe dizziness, she was aggressively told nothing was wrong. Only after persistently demanding a referral was her vertigo finally diagnosed. If you're considering this GP practice, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. Their medical negligence is truly alarming.
