Dangerous medical negligence for vulnerable elderly patient

Complete chaos at this medical practice. Around three weeks back, I needed to secure a relative's routine prescription. My sister visited the surgery with the medication box, which the receptionist assured would be prescribed by the doctor. However, when she returned the next day, the tablets were 2.5 mgs different from the original dosage! After multiple phone calls, it emerged that the doctor (WITHOUT EXAMINING THE PATIENT) decided to discontinue the lower dose. These blood pressure tablets were changed without even checking the patient's blood pressure!! The receptionist called me in response to my repeated inquiries to announce the medication was stopped. When I requested a home visit, she claimed she couldn't schedule an appointment, despite speaking with me directly. (The patient affected is 103 years old and has been taking these exact tablets for 40 years)! When I asked to speak with the practice manager, she deliberately ignored me. I've noticed from other reviews that this practice routinely "fails to hear" patients on phone calls. I plan to write to the practice manager and suggest they get BT involved, as this seems a recurring issue! This surgery clearly prioritizes administrative convenience over patient care, with their complicated phone systems and restricted communication times. It's the 21st century - with proper training, all receptionists should be capable of handling any task at any time! As a final note, I'm still waiting over three weeks for a blood test!
