Decades of mixed experiences at victoria road surgery

I've been a patient at Victoria Road Surgery for over three decades, having been registered since childhood. My experience has been middling, though it has marginally improved recently. The practice hosts a mix of staff - some clinicians are detached and clinical, while others (like Dr McCreanor) are genuinely warm, personable, and make patients feel comfortable. I understand the pressures of NHS healthcare and limited GP consultation times, but when a doctor responds with indifference to a medical concern like my ear infection and merely shrugs, it feels dismissive and unprofessional. The appointment booking process, as other patients have noted, is fundamentally flawed. The online system is particularly problematic, with availability virtually non-existent - when slots do appear, they're typically weeks in the future and often with the less empathetic practitioners, which discourages booking altogether. Another frustrating inconsistency is the varied approach to scheduling follow-up appointments. One receptionist might insist you must arrive early on the day for test results, while another will happily book you in advance without hesitation.
