Denied treatment and phone appointments only

I experienced multiple instances where treatment was not provided. Most concerning was an occasion when a clinician declined to continue a medication that had been initiated prior to my arrival in the UK, despite my providing comprehensive documentation. Abruptly discontinuing this medication would have posed serious health risks, which is well-established medical knowledge. The response I received was that the clinician had not initiated the treatment and therefore did not consider it their responsibility. This suggests the practice employs clinicians who do not prioritise patient welfare and safety. In my situation, this created genuine concern for my health. Additionally, accessing face-to-face appointments is extremely difficult; the practice predominantly offers telephone consultations only. During my time as a patient, I was never seen in person. I found it frustrating that this privately-operated practice receives NHS funding, meaning taxpayer money supports services that appear inadequate for the investment provided. Having lived in several European countries, I have not encountered primary care of such poor quality. I would recommend seeking care elsewhere. The practice's responses to critical reviews appear formulaic and generic, suggesting no meaningful effort toward improvement. The overall structure seems fundamentally dysfunctional rather than in need of minor adjustments. Following the practice's reply to my initial feedback, I note that their formal complaints process simply transferred my concerns between clinicians without addressing the core issues regarding treatment refusal and patient safety. The dismissive approach is deeply troubling. This matter will not conclude here and may be escalated through various channels. When clinicians mock patients and compromise their safety, this represents a serious breach of professional responsibility that demands accountability. The pattern of negative reviews on this practice is striking and suggests systemic problems that would warrant regulatory intervention in other healthcare systems.
