Diabetes care fails patient with poor communication

I'm utterly frustrated with the healthcare service my boyfriend received today during what was supposed to be his diabetes check-up. They merely collected a urine and blood sample, but the real problem is he can't obtain his prescription until a medical review scheduled for September 25th - which is a phone consultation, which I find completely absurd. It's currently August 12th, and their lack of urgency for such a critical health matter is appalling. Moreover, they haven't provided enough medication, leaving him without essential drugs for a week, which has consequently made him unwell. When he expressed his immediate need for the prescription, the doctor claimed she doesn't understand the medication aspects of diabetes and suggested he ask the front desk. Excuse me? A medical professional admitting she doesn't comprehend the intricacies of managing diabetes is unacceptable. Diabetes isn't a condition you can casually manage without thorough understanding. This healthcare facility is completely incompetent, and I would never recommend them to anyone dealing with any medical issues whatsoever.
