Diabetic Patient Waiting Three Days for Dressing

The Practice Lavender Group appears to have diminished in its commitment to patient care. Our family member has been waiting three days beyond the recommended timeframe for a necessary dressing change, as advised by the hospital. Given the patient's diabetic condition and heightened infection risk, this delay is alarming. The GP we consulted seemed inadequate and unwilling to handle the dressing change, claiming it was outside their scope and deferring the responsibility entirely to nurses. These nurses have been unavailable for three days, leaving the patient exposed to potential wound infection—a situation that could be easily prevented if the GP would take responsibility and perform this basic primary care task. This medical practice has significantly deteriorated, and their approach to managing high-risk patients is deeply troubling. The lack of comprehensive patient care evaluation at Lavender Hill Group Practice is a serious cause for concern.
