Disappointing emergency care and medication mix-up

I visited the clinic for an urgent consultation due to a week-long struggle with labored breathing and chest constriction. My lungs felt congested, and I could detect a crackling sound while inhaling. A locum pharmacist at the practice examined me and prescribed medications that were contraindicated for my condition. I received a steroid tablet, which is ill-advised for those with infections, along with antibiotics that the NHS website cautions against for asthma sufferers. Upon contacting the surgery for clarification, the staff was utterly unhelpful, addressing me as if I should possess medical expertise. Am I expected to have a medical degree? They promised a callback from the consultant, which never materialized, and now they've closed for the weekend while I continue to gasp for air, hesitant to take the prescribed drugs for fear of exacerbating my symptoms. The level of care and accountability demonstrated is utterly disgraceful, showing a complete disregard for patient well-being.
