Dismissed until chronic skin condition got worse

I endured prolonged dismissal of my symptoms by multiple individuals until I persistently advocated for myself and finally found a doctor willing to listen. After an unnecessarily delayed referral that should have happened initially, I was ultimately diagnosed with a chronic inflammatory skin condition. Had I received proper medical attention when I first sought help while in significant pain, my healing process would be much further along. Early diagnosis is critical for skin conditions to ensure effective treatment. Instead, I was repeatedly given incorrect advice like "just use regular moisturizer" - completely inappropriate guidance for someone with a massive inflamed lump causing severe mobility issues. Repeatedly, I was prescribed ineffective antibiotics and systematically brushed aside. Moreover, when attempting to schedule appointments, I consistently encountered hostile receptionists claiming no availability, yet my housemate would call immediately after and instantly secure a slot. The overall medical care I've experienced has been thoroughly unacceptable, and I am now directly experiencing the consequences of this persistent medical negligence.
