Dismissive Receptionist Ignored My Cancer History

I called to schedule a doctor's appointment regarding a persistent digestive issue requiring medical attention. The receptionist informed me that my symptoms did not qualify as urgent, leaving me with the option of completing a form or waiting three weeks for a phone consultation. Upon mentioning my previous lymphoma diagnosis and expressing concern about potential related symptoms, she dismissively responded, "That's not really a gut condition, is it?"... She was undoubtedly the most condescending individual I've encountered, having already decided my condition was irrelevant despite possessing zero medical credentials to make such a judgment. This represents the most damning evidence of the NHS's current decline, where patients are now subject to the whims of an ignorant and apathetic gatekeeper who arbitrarily determines our worthiness for medical care. It is absolutely and completely outrageous, and you should be thoroughly ashamed of allowing the situation to deteriorate to this extent. I genuinely fear how many individuals are being denied basic healthcare due to catastrophically poor management and the unchecked arrogance of these self-appointed medical "experts". Shame on you.
