Dispensing queue left me waiting repeatedly

I recently spoke with a member of the management team regarding the prescription collection service at the practice. When I attended to collect a prescription, I experienced a wait of approximately 5 minutes before anyone from that department became available to assist me. During this time, I observed a staff member at their desk engaged in a phone conversation, which included periods of laughter. Upon enquiring at reception about staffing levels in that area, I was informed there were three people working. The staff member I had observed overheard my question and indicated they would attend to me once their call concluded. I raised my concerns with the manager about the quality of service being provided to patients. Upon reflection, I have come to realise this was not an isolated incident. Throughout my time attending the practice over recent months, I have regularly noticed a considerable number of patients waiting for their prescriptions to be processed. On several occasions, I observed the same group of patients still waiting when I departed after my own appointment, with additional patients having joined the queue in the interim. I feel this level of service has persisted without adequate intervention or resolution. I believe action is required to address this matter.
