I regret to say this medical practice has seriously deteriorated. Only a handful of decent physicians remain. The front desk staff are discourteous, particularly when handling phone interactions, displaying zero empathy or understanding. During my recent visit for a severely blocked ear with substantial wax buildup, the doctor instructed me to schedule a follow-up at reception. However, they claimed no appointments were available and simply handed me a leaflet directing me to a private clinic where I would need to pay £60 for treatment. Why should I be expected to pay out of pocket for a medical issue? I already contribute significantly through taxes and national insurance. The impacted ear wax was causing me intense discomfort - severe headaches, ear pain, and swallowing difficulties. A GP should have immediately arranged an urgent nurse appointment, yet they couldn't offer any solution. It appears they've dramatically reduced available treatments and are critically understaffed. The receptionists consistently create unnecessary barriers and demonstrate absolutely terrible customer service skills. Their approach is consistently obstructive and unhelpful.
