Early morning phone booking system feels frustrating

The requirement to call at 8am to book an appointment can feel like a tedious process. If that's the only way available, then it's something you have to work with. As someone who hadn't visited the surgery in person since 2017, I wasn't familiar with the different phone times for different types of requests, so I was corrected a couple of times and advised that I shouldn't have been calling at 8am for certain matters like requesting a sick certificate. Setting aside the procedural aspects, I was seen on both occasions by two considerate clinicians who were genuinely attentive and listened carefully without making me feel pressured. This was a really positive experience and helped me feel at ease, particularly as someone who doesn't approach medical appointments casually. Given that I hadn't sought medical attention since 2017, this made a real difference. I was very impressed with the care I received on both visits.
