Elderly Patient Suffered Four Days Without Meds

I desperately want to give zero stars for this absolutely terrible general practice. They demonstrate zero understanding of prioritizing vulnerable patients. At 80 years old, with critical health conditions where my medication is literally life-sustaining, their errors left me without essential medicines for four entire days. When I reported this, their response was simply to tell me to wait in line - completely unacceptable. In addressing the practice, I had to forcefully argue to resolve my prescription problem, which isn't an isolated incident. You must comprehend that patients like my elderly grandmother require significantly more compassionate care, especially given her extremely serious underlying health condition. This isn't a trivial matter. I emphasize this isn't the first prescription issue I've experienced, and only by raising my voice did anything get addressed. The harsh reality is that this GP requires dramatic improvement in supporting patients who genuinely need assistance. The potential consequences are severe - four days without medication could have been fatal. She is entirely dependent on these prescriptions, and incorrect information from reception could have resulted in catastrophic outcomes. Simply doing the prescription on the second day isn't a favor - it's the basic professional responsibility. Unfortunately, contemporary general practices consistently demonstrate a profound lack of patient-centered care.
