Elderly struggle with new clinic registration system

The revamped registration system appears to cater primarily to the tech-savvy younger generation, leaving the elderly and infirm at a disadvantage. Those unfamiliar with digital platforms struggle to navigate the online process, creating a significant barrier to access. The rigid morning scheduling window exacerbates the situation for individuals battling illness, potentially worsening their condition as they attempt to secure an appointment. A poignant illustration of this predicament involves my acquaintance, a long-standing patient at Evergreen clinic. Plagued by recurrent infections, she's been unable to book her routine senior check-up and blood work for an extended period. This bot-driven system, while efficient on paper, demonstrates a concerning lack of empathy and flexibility, potentially jeopardizing patient health. Upon voicing concerns to administration, patients find themselves redirected to hospitals rather than their familiar family physicians. Ironically, one must be in peak health to successfully navigate this supposedly health-oriented system. The current setup seems to prioritize technological efficiency over patient care and accessibility.
