Endless queue for a basic health check

In the past, you could line up early to secure an in-person consultation. After being off work for two days, I made the effort to visit the clinic, only to be informed that appointments are now exclusively booked via telephone. I called and found myself 24th in the queue. Once I finally got through, I was told all slots were fully booked. My options were to schedule a face-to-face appointment in March, receive a callback from another clinic in three days, or repeat the same frustrating phone lottery the next morning. This approach to healthcare is unacceptable. Patients should not be left waiting when they are unwell. If the clinic cannot accommodate patients from the local area, they are clearly overwhelmed. There must be a more responsive system for people who need medical attention immediately, rather than being forced to endure days of uncertainty before even discussing their health concerns.
