Endless wait for my own medical records

I would assign zero stars if possible, but the rating system won't let me. I've been attempting to retrieve my medical records since last year following a car accident, which my insurance company needs to process the remainder of my claim. I was initially sent a consent form to authorize their access. After approximately a month, my insurance reported they still couldn't obtain the records, so I completed another identical form. Another month passed with the same result. Frustrated, I tried emailing to request the records directly, but the provided link was non-functional. Subsequently, I was given login credentials for the practice's website. Upon creating an account, I discovered I must separately request access to my own medical records - on my own account! I naively hoped they might approve the request quickly, but no such luck. I've spent days calling after work, enduring repetitive COVID announcements and irritating classical hold music. I expect my request to be approved tomorrow, or I'll be completely bewildered about their daily operations. I'm absolutely switching medical practices after obtaining my records, though at this rate I'll probably be middle-aged first. What should be a straightforward one-day process has inexplicably dragged on for four or five months with no end in sight.
