Endless wait with a sick child at unorganized clinic

I brought my young child to this medical practice today and endured an excessive wait exceeding two hours before being seen. The physician was significantly behind schedule, and the front desk staff were aware of this delay upon our arrival but chose not to provide any advance warning or information. We were trapped there during the lunch period and became increasingly hungry. The reception team's lack of communication was incredibly frustrating, especially given the already stressful circumstances of having an unwell child. As other patients have noted, the quality of this practice has deteriorated since its recent management change, and I'm deeply disappointed that patients have no alternative options. It's crucial for patients to contact their local representative and formally lodge complaints with both the receptionists and the practice. During our mid-morning arrival, we overheard another parent with a toddler expressing similar frustrations about their lengthy wait, which we initially dismissed as an isolated incident. Unfortunately, it now appears this is standard procedure. A comprehensive system must be developed where doctors who are running more than an hour behind schedule either receive support from colleagues or patients are immediately informed about potential delays upon arrival. The practice should consider reducing appointment volumes or securing additional staffing support. The current situation is completely unacceptable. Patients genuinely deserve a much higher standard of care.
