My family and I have all been patients at Essex Lodge Surgery for over 20 years, and for the most part our experiences have all been really positive, especially considering the stress the NHS has been under in recent years, especially in east London where patient numbers and deprivation are extremely high. The reception staff are always kind and polite, especially to my daughter who has a chronic long term condition and learning disability, l feel this is particularly impressive taking into account the abusive and disrespectful way some patients talk to them. Most of the nurses are also really kind, patient and respectful, going out of their way to make my daughter feel comfortable. There are also some really excellent, lovely doctors, Dr Awal and Dr Vaid in my experience have always been particularly caring, reassuring and just really kind! Which is so important when you are feeling ill and vulnerable or worried about your child, and most of the other doctors l have seen over the years have also been friendly and professional!
