Felt rushed and dismissed without proper examination

This appointment fell short of expectations. The clinician appeared dismissive and did not take time to engage with my medical background, despite my efforts to convey the ongoing consequences of a previous injury. I was interrupted multiple times and directed to self-refer to a specialist service, despite being aware of substantial waiting times and currently experiencing significant discomfort and functional limitations that have considerably affected my daily life. I have invested in private treatment for an extended period without improvement. The treating professional had suggested I follow up with my GP. I also brought up a new skin concern, particularly given my previous skin condition history. This was not thoroughly examined or addressed with appropriate reassurance, which felt inadequate given the circumstances. Rather than exploring further investigation, management options, or support, I left the appointment feeling undervalued for raising the issue. The appointment lacked structure, clear next steps, or compassionate engagement — it was a hurried, inattentive consultation that left me feeling overlooked and unsupported. The standard of care provided was disappointing. Follow up: Be aware that follow-up communication may be limited. I submitted a formal complaint and was told I would receive a callback early in the following week. Several days have now passed without any contact. It appears that patient concerns are not treated as a priority. Responsiveness to feedback has been lacking.
