Felt unheard despite repeated visits and symptoms

This practice was previously considered among the better options in the area, but my experience has significantly changed. Over approximately twelve months, I attended repeatedly with multiple symptoms including recurrent infections and severe digestive discomfort. I felt my concerns were not taken seriously, and the situation deteriorated to the point where I required hospital admission while away visiting. The hospital staff also appeared unhelpful and conducted limited investigations beyond basic monitoring. My symptoms became so severe that I required emergency ambulance attendance multiple times over a two-week period before blood tests finally revealed a serious underlying condition requiring urgent surgical intervention. I believe earlier investigation and appropriate testing could have identified this issue and prevented considerable suffering and subsequent complications. I found that obtaining a proper diagnosis required being extremely assertive and practically directing my own care, which is not an appropriate position for a patient to be in. I have encountered staff who seemed to expect me to dictate my own treatment rather than provide professional guidance. Attending medical appointments should not require constant confrontation to receive appropriate care and investigation. I am unable to provide positive feedback about my experience at this practice.
