I have had an outstanding experience with my GP yet again. Their knowledge and expertise is exceptional and uncommon to encounter. After multiple visits to A&E with significant pain in my lower abdomen and side, I was able to get an appointment for an evaluation. They really went above and beyond, even sacrificing their break time for me. They performed a comprehensive physical examination and identified that I was experiencing constipation. The buildup in my digestive system was creating pressure that was radiating as pain in other areas. After being prescribed appropriate medication, within a week my pain levels dropped dramatically. I still have some ongoing symptoms, but had I received this assessment earlier, I could have avoided numerous distressing A&E visits that affected my family. No other healthcare professional had examined my abdomen thoroughly due to my previous medical history, which had led to assumptions about my condition. By taking a patient-focused approach rather than relying solely on my medical records, my GP has put me on the path to recovery. No surgery, no hospital admission – thank you so much for your care and dedication. We need more healthcare professionals like you out there.
