Frustrated by GP's lack of care and support

The reception staff and nurses I encountered were excellent. Nevertheless, I experienced significant emotional distress due to a GP's lack of care and communication over six months. After deciding to submit a detailed written complaint about the GP's impact on my mental health and overall well-being, I was once again left feeling hurt and helpless by the practice manager's response. With minimal acknowledgment of my specific concerns, she suggested I find another practice and included a letter from the GP presenting her own selective version of events. Unsurprisingly, the manager showed no concern about the discrepancies between the doctor's account and what was documented in my medical records, particularly given that her response was dated several days before the doctor's letter. My sole intention was to ensure preventive measures were implemented to stop others from experiencing similar treatment. I sought education, not punishment. Instead, I now feel patronized and unfairly blamed. I may well follow their advice and seek a new medical practice, as the thought of returning now makes me extremely uncomfortable.
