Frustrating and unhelpful medical practice phone service

The staff handling phone calls here are utterly incompetent and unprofessional. I called today on behalf of my father, who's undergone tests after discovering a potential issue with his LIVER. He received a text from the GP practice instructing him to request a callback regarding his test results. A woman answered, and when I explained the text's context, she was dismissive. She didn't even ask for my father's name or details about the test. She bluntly stated they have no available slots for phone consultations and that we must call back tomorrow at 8am. It was 11am when I called her. Why must I wait until the next morning at 8am to arrange a doctor's phone call for my dad? This makes no sense. Why couldn't she simply schedule a doctor's callback during our current conversation? How complicated is explaining liver test results? It would take mere minutes. This entire process is absolutely ridiculous, and it's not the first time I've experienced problems with their reception staff. Around mid-APRIL, I previously argued with another staff member when trying to schedule my father's yearly health check-up. She claimed there were NO APPOINTMENTS available until JUNE 20th 😡, which was nearly two months away. Are you seriously suggesting this is normal practice? 🤨
