Frustrating appointment booking system wastes my time

I want to express my extremely frustrating experience with their appointment scheduling system. It's impossible to secure a same-day morning visit by walking in, leaving phone booking as the only option. The line is supposedly open at 8am, but each attempt reveals it's mysteriously inactive, not just busy. I've tried calling at 7:59am and get a message about the line opening at 8am, yet at 8am precisely, no one answers. Today, I made 20 consecutive calls between 8:00 and 8:35, and when finally connected, I was told all appointments were gone. The line was overwhelmed, and I'm clearly not alone in this struggle. The receptionist even admitted experiencing similar issues at her own clinic, which I find completely unprofessional. Her response doesn't address why this consistently happens since they changed their booking system. A busy line explanation is unacceptable, especially since this has been a recurring problem every single time I attempt to schedule an appointment. I'm giving one star only because the review platform requires it, but truthfully, I would give zero stars if possible.
