Frustrating appointments with hit and miss doctors

Booking appointments at this practice is limited to nurses via pre-booking, while doctor consultations require same-day scheduling, which are predominantly telephone-based - an incredibly frustrating experience. The constant background typing during consultations becomes incredibly monotonous, with some physicians being more guilty than others. Securing an appointment involves calling precisely at 8am, repeatedly battling engaged signals, and potentially waiting 5-30 minutes in a queue. Recent receptionists have been somewhat aggressive, despite my usual sympathy for their challenging role. You'll likely receive a rushed phone consultation where a doctor determines whether you merit an in-person examination. The medical staff quality varies significantly. They occasionally employ locum doctors, and while Dr Zaman was reportedly exceptional, his current whereabouts are unknown. I personally recommend Dr Haye and Dr Babatunde, but would caution against Dr. Chaudhry, particularly for patients with chronic conditions. The nursing staff, however, are consistently professional - helpful, attentive, and never hurried. Their online system offers comprehensive features: accessible test results, prescription requests, and the ability to view clinic letters and referrals. The adjacent pharmacy provides convenient prescription collection, though they have their own operational challenges. Ultimately, this GP surgery is hit-or-miss. The quality depends entirely on individual practitioners and your specific healthcare requirements. Remember, you're not permanently committed - changing doctors or practices remains an option if unsatisfied.
