Frustrating communication failure with medical service

Over the past week and a half, I've reached out to the medical practice multiple times across five separate days, attempting to clarify the dosage and duration of my newly prescribed medication. Although the prescription was issued by a doctor at this clinic following a consultation, no specific instructions were provided. Each day, the reception staff assured me they would contact me once a doctor reviewed the details, but not a single callback materialized. Frustrated by their lack of communication, I've decided to self-determine my medication schedule, taking it three times daily. I'm hoping for the best outcome...
