Frustrating delay and poor service at clinic

I scheduled an appointment well in advance, arriving punctually only to learn it would be postponed by 25 minutes. The receptionist delivered this news without even glancing up, which was particularly frustrating. I couldn't help but wonder: if I had been 25 minutes late, would my slot have been preserved? Historically, my appointments have consistently run behind schedule. Given this is a recurring issue, why hasn't the practice modified its procedures? They might even free up parking spaces if patients weren't constantly left waiting. I'm genuinely curious about the daily responsibilities of a medical receptionist. One thing I've observed is their apparent ease in cancelling appointments, yet they seem unable to reschedule face-to-face, particularly when the delay is through no fault of the patient. The lack of accountability and communication is truly perplexing.
