Frustrating delays and poor communication at clinic

Some of the receptionists are quite unfriendly, though a few were pleasant. The doctors were genuinely kind, but the administrative process was incredibly frustrating. I needed a urology follow-up for my 2-year-old every 4-5 months. After moving to Luton and registering, I immediately requested a referral. Five months later, no referral had been made. They promised to expedite it urgently, yet another three months passed with no appointment. I persistently called for four consecutive days, spending over an hour on hold and often remaining 12th in the queue. Eventually, after making a significant complaint, I was granted a face-to-face appointment with promises to chase things up. Ultimately, I received a letter from L&D urology scheduling a clinic appointment for the last week of April. I initially requested an appointment for my toddler in October 2021 and finally received one in the last week of April 2023. This delay is unacceptable for a child with a serious health condition!
