Frustrating dr thorpe appointment booking mess

The receptionist has completely changed their policy, no longer permitting direct doctor appointment bookings. In late May, Dr Thorpe instructed me to schedule a follow-up in a month, but when I contacted reception, they claimed no appointments were available because his schedule wasn't entered into their system. Multiple subsequent calls revealed his rota remained unupdated. When I explained I needed to see Dr Thorpe as requested, the receptionist questioned whether I genuinely required medical attention. I inquired how doctors can apparently take holidays with a week's notice, yet the staff seem unaware of next month's schedule and haven't input the rotas. Their operational approach seems entirely dysfunctional. The pharmacy staff are unprofessional and disengaged. They persistently chat and laugh among themselves while supposedly serving customers, creating significant delays. Frustrated, I switched to Lloyds Direct for prescription delivery. However, Lloyds was out of stock and returned my prescription to the NHS system. Empingham pharmacy proved unhelpful, citing procedural constraints, though Rutland late-night pharmacy was surprisingly accommodating.
