Frustrating early morning phone call routine

The medical practice's appointment system is frustratingly rigid. You must call precisely at 8:30am to schedule a doctor's visit, which is completely inconvenient. Previously, booking was much more flexible - we could call anytime and easily secure an appointment. Now, if you miss that narrow morning window, you're out of luck, which is incredibly disruptive for people juggling work, school, and other responsibilities. Now that COVID restrictions have been lifted, the NHS should return to in-person consultations. If staff are still concerned about health risks, they could at least offer video consultations via Skype, Zoom, or WhatsApp, rather than relying solely on phone calls. There's a significant difference between a face-to-face interaction and a phone conversation, and patients deserve more personalized care. The current system needs to become more accommodating and patient-friendly.
