Frustrating experience with NHS allergy care

What an absolute money pit for the NHS! Our daughter suffers from severe allergic reactions - coughing, vomiting, and struggling to breathe. She relies on two inhalers, blue and brown. Desperate to identify the allergen, my wife spent three consecutive mornings glued to the phone, trying to secure a doctor's appointment. By some miracle, she snagged the last slot on the third day. Disappointingly, we were met with a nurse who displayed shocking rudeness towards my wife. Despite my wife's insistence, the nurse refused to provide a blood test form for allergies, only offering tests for liver function and blood cell count. This oversight became apparent three weeks later, after we'd wasted precious time waiting for the blood draw, lab analysis, and for someone to finally hit "Print" on the results. Now we're back at square one, requesting an allergy test that'll likely take ages. If the nurse had done her job properly, we wouldn't be dealing with a child gasping for air for a month! It feels like a ploy by the surgery to book more appointments and rake in NHS funds for doing absolutely nothing. Disgraceful! To add insult to injury, I'm required to complete a GDPR form on behalf of my underage child just to access their test results. It's preposterous! As parents, we're the only ones legally responsible for our children. Is it even lawful to fill out forms in someone else's name? I highly doubt it. This place is an utter farce!
