Frustrating experience with unhelpful gp receptionists

I find it frustrating that the receptionists at this GP practice seem to be acting beyond their role, attempting to diagnose and redirect patients without proper medical expertise. When I requested a doctor's callback, the receptionist promised a call today but couldn't specify a precise time. Eventually, the doctor did call, but I missed the call while on another line. When I tried to reschedule, the receptionist criticized me for not answering the initial call, which felt dismissive and unhelpful. To make matters worse, during the subsequent callback attempt, the doctor rang only twice before abruptly hanging up, just as I was about to answer. I'm perplexed by their unprofessional communication approach. While I'd like to switch to another practice, the alternative nearby GP is even less satisfactory. I'm sharing this experience in hopes that they will recognize their communication shortcomings and improve their patient interaction. It's crucial to remember that receptionists are administrative staff, not medical professionals.
